Haven Field is to be a church that is Christ-led, congregationally-governed, elder-guided and deacon-served. At Haven Field major decisions are made by the church while the elders and teams guide the church in that decision-making process.
As pastor of Haven Field Community Church, my main areas of involvement relate to vision, teaching and leading a community of grace-filled people learning to live in the way of Jesus. I am a graduate of Auburn University, a graduate of Southwestern Theological Seminary as well as a graduate of Drew University. I have served in ministry on church staffs in Texas, Florida and Alabama.
I am glad to be a part of leading Haven Field for the purpose of connecting the disconnected to be restored to live on mission with Christ. My wife, Jennifer, and I have been married since 1998, and we have three children: Allie, Emma and Jack. I enjoy playing basketball, writing and DIY home projects. email Todd
Children's Ministry Leader
I am excited to serve the children and families within Haven
Field. I am a first grade teacher at Edgewood Elementary School. Children are my passion. It is my strong desire here at Haven Field to teach our kids about God and that they are loved.
I am a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I received my undergraduate degree in early childhood and elementary education. I later returned to UAB to earn my Master's in teaching English as a Second Language. I enjoy spending time with my husband, Ben, and our children Riley and Ren. I also love to garden and paint.
I’m thrilled to be a part of Haven Field in a bi-vocational context, as I currently work as a Network Designer for an engineering firm. I’ve always had a passion for leading worship, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to continue to lead here at Haven Field. Not everyone worships the same way, and I love being a part of one of the many avenues of worship offered at Haven Field. Additionally, I love getting others involved in leading worship. In our short life as a church, we’ve already seen tremendous involvement from the community in this regard, and I look forward to all the new faces that will join us in leading worship in the future.
I am from the area as I attended Vestavia Hills High School before moving on to Auburn University. I’ve been a part of the worship team at Haven Field since its beginning, before moving into a leadership position in 2018. When I get some free time, I enjoy playing golf, attending my nieces’ and nephews’ sporting events, and taking a day trip down to Auburn whenever possible.
It excites me to be a part of the leadership team of Haven Field Community Church in a bi-vocational context, as I currently work as a Project Manager for a Software company. I have a passion for seeing people grow in their faith and learning how to share their faith with others. Through community groups at Haven Field, we have an opportunity to share with one another how our faith is impacting our daily lives and also provide a place to invite others to connect to the mission God has called us. I hope that we learn to live out our faith in the neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces that God sends us each day.
I am a graduate in Business from the University of Alabama and hold my Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. I have served in bi-vocational and full-time roles in Alabama and California in High School and College ministry, and as a Discipleship Pastor. During my down time, I enjoy fishing, spending time with family, cycling, and hanging with my yellow lab, Lucy.
